This June, the USPK National Finals are happening right here at Freedom in Motion Parkour Gym in Loma Linda. It’s the biggest parkour competition of the year in the United States, where the top athletes from all over the country gather to compete in speed, skill, and freestyle events.
For the first time ever, our gym is hosting this national-level event. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the parkour community into our home — and give our local athletes and fans a front-row seat to the action!
What Are the USPK National Finals?
If you’re new to the sport, USPK is the United States Parkour Association, the national governing body for parkour in the U.S.
Throughout the year, parkour athletes compete in regional qualifiers across the country. Only the best of the best earn their way to the finals. At Nationals, these top athletes push their skills to the limit in three categories:
Skill – Athletes tackle a series of technical challenges that test their creativity, precision, and problem-solving.
Speed – Competitors race through an obstacle course as fast as possible, combining efficiency with explosive power.
Freestyle – This is where athletes show off their personal style and favorite tricks in a jam-packed performance round.
This event is the real deal. These are the athletes pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in movement — and now they’re coming to Loma Linda.
Monday, June 30th: A Full Day of Athlete-Led Workshops
With so many amazing athletes coming to town, we couldn’t let them leave without asking them to stay a little longer and share their knowledge with YOU.
The day after the national finals — on Monday, June 30th — we’re hosting a full day of parkour workshops right here at Freedom in Motion. These aren’t just casual clinics. These are focused, hands-on training sessions led by four of the most respected names in parkour.
Here’s what’s on the schedule:
🌀 Ryry Abiang – Flow & Movement Workshop

Ryry is known for his smooth, expressive lines and insane trick connections. In this session, Ryry will help athletes improve their transitions, unlock better movement flow, and dial in their unique style.
Perfect for athletes who want to make their movement feel effortless and clean.
🏆 Megan McQueen – How to Approach Skill Competition

One of the top competitive athletes in the country, Megan will walk you through how to mentally and physically prepare for skill-based competitions. You’ll learn strategies for linking movements together, approaching tough challenges, and staying composed under pressure.
This workshop ends with a mock skill competition, so you can put what you’ve learned into action. Open to all genders and skill levels — we recommend at least some basic parkour experience.
⚡ Rob Schihl – Speed & Course Strategy Workshop

Rob is fast. Like, really fast. In his session, Rob will help athletes understand how to analyze courses, reduce friction in their movement, and move with precision at full speed. If you’ve ever wanted to improve your times in competition or just move more confidently and smoothly through obstacles, this is the session for you.
💥 Joe Rizzo – Power & Competition Mindset Workshop

Joe is known for his explosive power and competitive mindset. This workshop will focus on developing raw power in your parkour movements — from takeoffs to vaults — and combining that with the kind of mental focus you need to perform under pressure.
You’ll leave this session stronger, more confident, and with new tools to take into your next competition or training cycle.
Plus: Open Gym to Close the Day
After the workshops, we’ll open up the gym from 5:30 to 7:30pm for an open session. Come hang out, connect with athletes from all over the country, and have a blast jamming together in our Loma Linda facility.

You can register for one, two, or all of the workshops — whatever fits your schedule and interests best. These sessions are open to all ages and all skill levels. Whether you’re a newer athlete or someone looking to level up your comp game, there’s something here for you.
